Refund Policy

We thank you for visiting our Website. Our aim is to make you the service provider and hirer feel comfortable about conducting business through the platform.

We understand that through using our website to offer or hire goods and services, there are always bound to be situations where cancellations and no shows occur. Should in case these situations happen, we will be happy to offer refunds to the service provider only when the right procedures detailed below are followed.

Stopandhire limited does not offer refunds or return policies for items that are not hired but purchased directly from other users. If the item that you purchased are defective or you are unable to use them, please contact the service provider directly.

Service provider refunds

We have 4 forms to be completed by each party. A ’no show’, ‘cancellation’, ‘no show agreement’ and ‘cancellation agreement’.

Please note that refunds are ONLY issues when work has been agreed and service provider has paid the commission fee to stopandhire limited.

  1. Hirer has 7 days before the work commences to cancel the work. The hirer contacts stopandHire and completes a ‘cancellation form’. Stopandhire sends a ‘cancellation agreement’ form to the service provider to complete. StopandHire limited verifies both reports and refund the service provider
  2. Service provider has 7 days before the work commences to cancel the work. The service provider contacts stopandHire and completes a ‘cancellation form’.  StopandHire sends a ‘cancellation agreement’ form to the hirer to complete.  StopandHire limited verifies both reports and refund the service provider. Cancellation fee of 2% applies
  3. Hirer contacts stopandHire regarding a no show on service provider 7 days after work is meant to commence (a cancellation report has not been filed by the service provider 7 days before work commences). StopandHire sends service provider a ‘no show agreement’ form to complete. Penalty imposed on service provider and no refund is released to the service provider.
  4. Service provider contacts stopandhire regarding a no show on hirer 7 days after work is meant to commence (a cancellation report has not been filed by the hirer 7 days before work commences). Stopandhire sends hirer a ‘no show agreement’ form to complete. Penalty imposed on hirer and service provider refunded.

StopandHire limited will try and mediate within considerable means to reschedule works when a cancellation or no show reports are filed. If no form is produced by one party the business can use that as evidence in any proceedings by law.
